Jacks-or-Better Electronic-Poker Technique
- In any hand having a Jack, unless the hand is already a winner! - four to an open-ended Straight, four with a Flush or three into a Straight Flush or Royal Flush - refuse all cards only keeping the Jack
- In any hand holding only 1 card Jack or better, keep the individual superior card and refuse all other cards and redraw.
- In any hand having one pair less than than Jacks, retain the pair and refuse all other cards - unless the hand is 4 to a Straight or 4 with a Flush
- In any hand having a 2-pair, hold both pair and refuse the odd-card.
- In any hand with 3-of-a-kind preserve the 3-of-a-kind and reject the other 2 cards.
- In any hand having four into a Straight, hold all 4 Straight cards and re-draw - unless of course the Straight draw isn't open-ended and the hand is holding a Jack)
- In any hand having 4 to a Flush, preserve the four Flush - unless the hand holds 3 to the Royal in which case you would draw to the Royal Flush
- In any hand with 4-of-a-kind, hold almost everything since a one-card draw won't enhance the cards.
- In any hand with three to a Royal Flush, reject every thing else and go for that Royal - unless the hand is already a Sraight Flush!
